airPetStays is a new and exciting online Pet community for Pet owners to find Pet sitters who will care for their Pet at home while they are away. airPetStays can be accessed online or from a mobile phone to book and pay via our secure payments platform.

Whether you want to be a full-time Pet sitter, walk someone’s dog a few times a week or Pet sit when you have free time, airPetStays is the easiest way for people to earn additional income from doing something they love, looking after Pets!

airPetStays sitters can provide services such as Pet sitting, walking, day care and training in the sitters house or the owners. When you register as a Pet sitter, choose the services you would like to offer.

For other pets, you can find services such as pet visiting in the owners home.

airPetStays have genuine caring Pet sitters ready to give your Pets lots of love. We verify the contact details of each Pet sitter online and via an interview vetting processing which is proprietary to airPetStays.

  3. Browse through the many sitters
  4. Filter your search results and read reviews. You can also use our private messaging system to ask your selected Pet Sitters questions. We also recommend to set up a meet and greet.

  5. Book and pay online
  6. Book online through our safe and secure payments platform and pay with Visa or MasterCard

  7. Relax and unwind
  8. You can request SMS/text and photo updates and know that your Pet is having as much fun as you are!

    Some Pet sitters are open to sending video updates, skype and FaceTime – make sure ask the Pet Sitter if you have special requests

You can message the Pet sitters using the "Ask a question" button on their profile page to ask any question you need answered.

You should also organise a meet and greet before you drop your pet

No. As per our Terms & Conditions, all payments are to be made via airPetStays payments platform with MasterCard and Visa

Prior to dropping your Pet off, you should contact the Pet sitter to ask what you should provide for your Pet. If it’s a dog, we suggest you bring the dog’s collar, lead, water and food bowl, bed and blanket.

If you’re Pet has any special dietary or medical requirements or routines, you should fill this out in your ‘My Profile’ under My Pets.

It is also recommended to ensure you have agreed with the Pet sitter the Emergency plan if the Pet gets sick or injured. Who the vet is and agrees who covers the vet bill etc. If you are travelling overseas and will be difficult to contact it is important to have local contact in case your Pet needs emergency assistance.

You can cancel a requested Service after it has been confirmed by the Sitter, however, airPetStays will charge their service fee for the booking, and will refund the balance to your nominated bank account, subject to the following cancellation terms:

  1. If the Service is cancelled at least 7 days prior to the commencement date of the Service, Service Fee will be refunded in full
  2. If the Service is cancelled at least 3 days prior to the commencement date of the Service, 50% of the Service Fee will be refunded.
  3. If the service is cancelled with less than 3 days notice prior to the commencement date of the Service, 0% of the service fee will be refunded.

A meet and greet is an opportunity to meet the Pet sitter in person. You can message sitters using the 'Propose a meet' button on their profile page and organise a place and time to meet, at the local dog park or a nearby cafe. Make sure you are comfortable with meeting place and time.

All payments are made online via the airPetStays payment platform. We accept all major credit cards including Visa and MasterCard.

Once a Sitter accepts your booking it will be flagged as ready for payment in the 'My Bookings' tab of your 'My Profile' menu option

Simply click on 'Pay Now' and you will be prompted to enter credit card information.

You are expected to pay promptly once a Sitter accepts your booking.

Every Pet owner should have an agreed emergency plan in place with their Pet Sitter

  1. The Pet owner must provide their emergency contact details under the 'My Pets' section of 'My Profile'. This will be sent to the Sitter once you have paid for your booking
  2. Please note - We strongly recommend it should be agreed upon by both parties who should pay for the medical bills. Especially if Pet Owners are oversees and not easily contactable
  3. airPetStays can assist as an intermediary

Yes. When you view a Pet sitters profile you can see under 'My Services' if they offer any specialised care. We recommend you message Pet sitters with specific questions to make you feel comfortable you will receive the best service for your Pet.

You are required to provide your payment information as soon as the reservation is accepted by the pet sitter. You will receive a notification when this happens. The pet sitter is paid 48 hours after the end of the stay.

Once your booking has been accepted, you will see a 'Pay Now' button against this booking in 'My Bookings' under the 'My Profile' menu. Simply click on this button and follow the instructions to complete your payment

Please note - Your booking will not be confirmed until after your payment has been made

airPetStays charge a 2.5% booking fee to the Pet owner when a successful booking has been placed. Additionally, we take 15% of the Pet sitter’s fee which enables us to run the online Pet community, continue with product enhancements and provide Pet sitters marketing and all members with customer support

Yes! We have a community of Pet sitters who are ready to care for your Pet. Select the drop off and pick up dates to see available Pet Sitters.

Boarding in your sitters home and Sitting in the Owners home if for a 24-hour period

Log in to your account and go to your 'My Profile' page followed by 'My Bookings'. There is an option to “Cancel" your Booking. Please note that as per our Terms & Conditions, cancellation fees may apply.

Currently airPetStays does not offer insurance for Pet owners or Pet sitters.

However, airPetStays are currently negotiating with a number of insurance providers, and we will notify you when our new exclusive insurance products are available.

Until then, we strongly recommend Pet owners have a Pet insurance policy to cover any unforeseen emergencies and veterinary expenses. We believe Pet Insurance is important for your loved one and should be covered on an annual policy not just for an airPetStays service period

A Sitter is responsible for obtaining all necessary insurances, licences, permits, permissions required to offer any Services they offer on airPetStays.

You can either contact our online Support Team using the live chat system on the airPetStays website, or send an email customerservice@airPetstays.com with "Cancel Account" in the subject line. We would appreciate a reason why you are leaving us and will require completion of a questionnaire to ensure we take on board your valuable feedback as part of our continuous improvement process

As a sitter, the process to sign up is very simple and free!

  1. Register as a member of the airPetStays for free.
  2. Accept the confirmation email and then login and create a free listing with information about your Pet services, your place and your experience caring for Pets (if any). You set your own rates, control your schedule, and decide which Pets to accept
  3. airPetStays spends money on marketing to Pet owners who browse your profile on the site. Pet owners will make contact so they can get to know Pet sitters at a meet and greet. This is usually somewhere convenient such as at the local dog park or a cafe.

  4. Pet owners will book online through our safe and secure payments platform and pay with Visa or MasterCard.
  5. Our service fee is 15% of the total amount you charge Owners, and we transfer the balance of the payment to your airPetStays account 48 hours after the Pet service is complete
  6. To transfer the fees for Services provided from your airPetStays account, the Sitter must notify airPetStays in writing and specify the nominated bank account to which the fees are to be transferred.

  7. The Pet sitter provides text and photo updates for the Pet owner so they know their Pet is having as much fun as they are!

If an Owner cancels a requested Service after it has been confirmed by the Sitter, airPetStays will charge their service fee for the booking, and will refund the balance to the Owners nominated bank account, subject to the following cancellation terms:

A Sitter cannot cancel a confirmed Service unless the Sitter notifies airPetStays in writing of the Sitter’s intention to cancel the confirmed Service and with the express permission of airPetStays.

airPetStays reserve the right to remove pet sitters who are not reliable.

No. All payments are to be made via airPetStays payments platform. Our emergency support only covers transactions that go through our system.

By using airPetStays you agree in accordance with our Terms & Conditions that the first and all future transactions with a Pet Owner will be booked via airPetStays.

Failure to go through airPetStays will result in immediate termination from the site. You can also read more in our Terms & Conditions

airPetStays transfers the sum owed to the Sitters airPetStays account 48 hours after the pet sitting service is completed without dispute.

Sitters must request, in writing, to have any money on their account to be transfered to a nominated bank account.

You can charge what you like. We advise you review other Pet sitters in your postcode and similar services to ensure that you are competitive and comfortable with your pricing.

Do you have any professional training? Do you have a good size back yard with a fence? Will you provide text and photo updates? Have you got great reviews? This generally determines a sitter’s daily rate which can vary from approx. $20 to $50 per night.

Every sitter should have an agreed emergency plan in place with the Pet owner.

  1. Check the pet owners emergency contact details, as well as vet information or the name of a preferred vet hospital in the area.
  2. If you are unable to make contact with the emergency contact, then take the pet to the nearest vet clinic to assess the situation and provide the care required.
  3. Notify the owner right away about what happened and make sure they are kept updated throughout the process.
  4. Notify airPetStays at customerservice@airpetstays.com, or through our online live support system.

Please note, we strongly recommend it should be agreed upon by both parties who should pay for the medical bills. Especially if Pet Owners are overseas and not easily contactable.

Absolutely. When you fill out your Listing, just set the rate under ‘Overnight dog sitting in owners home’.

Once you've created your sitter profile and completed all the necessary requirements, your profile will be live and visible immediately in search results in your area

Your profile will also be reviewed by the airPetStays customer support team, who will check to see if your profile is complete. The customer service team may also call you to ask you a few special Pet questions before we approve your profile

  1. Respond to all booking messages within 24 hours (the sooner the response the better chance of getting a booking!) Don’t forget you can accept a booking via your mobile with airPetStays.
  2. Include lots of information about yourself, what makes you an amazing Pet sitter
  3. Keep your airPetStays calendar up to date! We know sometimes things come up, so if you have other commitments that will prevent you from sitting for a period of time, set your calendar to "Unavailable"
  4. Organise a meet and greet to let the Pet owners get to know you and your Pet (if you have one). This could be at your local park or at nearby cafe. Wherever you are most comfortable and safe
  5. SMS/Text or email the owner on the day before pick up time to let them know you are looking forward to caring for their Pet
  6. Make sure that your property is Pet safe and that your fence has no holes
  7. Send regular email or SMS/text messages and photos of the owner’s Pet to show what a great time they are having and put their minds at ease

It is every sitter’s responsibility to pay applicable taxes

airPetStays does not withhold any taxes.

We do not recommend Pet sitters share contact information until after a meet and greet or booking is accepted. This is to protect your privacy and to maintain the security of your personal information.

Once a Sitter accepts a booking, the Owners Pet details will be shared with the Sitter. It is the responsibility of both parties to share all other contact information
